Swansea vs Liverpool - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Match Preview

Brendan Rodgers And Jose Enrique Former Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers will be making his return to the Liberty Stadium tonight hoping to maintain new club Liverpool's 100% start to the season. It hasn't been easy for the Reds all the time - three successive 1-0 wins puts them third while a fourth would send them top - but they must improve on a patchy record against tonight's opponents to achieve that. Though the Reds thumped the Swans 5-0 back in February, they had previously failed to beat the Welsh club in any of their previous three attempts. However, Rodgers will be boosted by the knowledge Daniel Sturridge returns to match action after missing both of England's crucial World Cup qualifiers last week, which can only be good news for Liverpool. The ex-Chelsea man has scored in each of the Red's three league games so far this season, and is the man of the moment. However, Liverpool will need to exercise caution against a side boasting the attacking talents of Michu and Wilfried Bony, while old-boy Jonjo Shelvey could return to haunt his former employers. This one has all the ingredients of a classic, with both sides utilizing fluid and attacking tactics. Prediction: Swansea 1-1 Liverpool
