1. Aussie Seagull Shrugs Off A Big Bashing

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPmKJcxfsdw There have been numerous incidences of pigeons in England falling foul to blows from cricket balls during televised county matches. In this instance, an Aussie seagull showed it was made of sterner stuff after walking away from a strike by Adam Voges at the MCG earlier this year. In a Big Bash League match between the Melbourne Stars and the Perth Scorchers, Perth batsman Adam Voges slapped a delivery from Clint McKay towards Rob Quiney on the square-leg fence only for the ball to pick out an unsuspecting seagull on the way. Quiney places the seagull out of harm's way over the boundary rope only for it to regain consciousness moments later - much to the delight of the Melbourne crowd - in an occurrence that Channel Ten commentator and former Australia international Damien Fleming described as: "An unbelievable effort."
