As long as he remains on the roster, you still have to include him on any list that pertains to being entertaining. There aren't many fighters that can be mentioned on a weekly basis, when not participating in many interviews. Nick Diaz remains to be a private person, who is enjoying life going to different combat sporting events. We've seen him at past UFC and boxing events, along with last weekend's Glory pay-per-view. People are still enamored by his style of fighting and the way he carries himself. His training couldn't be more disciplined, yet his fighting style couldn't be more wild. The reason why Nick is more popular than Nate comes down to Nick's winning streak and being even more unpredictable. Diaz was on a 11 fight win streak, which included fighting four times between January 2010-January 2011. When Fedor Emelianenko started to decline, Diaz was becoming the poster child for Strikeforce. That led to him signing with the UFC and infuriating Georges St. Pierre like no one has done before. He's a mad scientist, who may have the most loyal fan base out of any fighter. Diaz is in a similar mold as Brock Lesnar was. He couldn't care less about being in the spotlight, but knows how to utilize it to his advantage. His worth is enormous right now and that mainly comes from his persona. Whatever Diaz chooses to do, it becomes headlining news. His unintentional quote gems of not accepting wolf tickets and being scared will always be memorable.
