3. Chris Weidman Is Legit

John Locher/AP/Press Association ImagesJohn Locher/AP/Press Association ImagesHe came out of the gate strong. He won a unanimous decision against a tough opponent. He can no longer be criticised as being a "fluke" champion. That's the good news for Chris Weidman. The bad news is that, in all honesty, he doesn't look like a long-term champion. He had his struggles against Lyoto Machida, especially in the later rounds. One judge scored is 48-47, and that's what I scored it as well. And while no one is expecting Chris Weidman to be Anderson Silva, he's still the guy. The Guy. The Guy that beat Silva. Middleweight, however, is full of killers. Vitor Belfort. Jacare. Luke Rockhold. It's a wide open division right now, and there's a lot of dangerous opponents for Weidman waiting in the wings.
