West Brom 3-2 Crystal Palace - 6 Things We Learned

6. West Brom's Top Two

While Palace were undoubtedly dreadful and gifted West Brom their first half 3-0 lead, it would be churlish not to praise West Brom's front two of Saido Berahino and Salomòn Rondòn. For the entire game they harried and hassled out of possession and tore Palace's defence to bits when they had the ball. Rondòn will feel unlucky that he didn't manage to claim a goal for himself, while Berahino scored a fantastic cushioned volley and almost put the game out of sight when he rattled the crossbar with a curling effort. The effort and industry of these two shone a very bright light on Palace's failings throughout this game.
