4. Mikhail Youzhny
The 30 year old Russian will be hoping to put in a set of strong performance in the Grand Slams before he hangs up his racket, but if recent records are anything to go by, the courts of Wimbledon may well be his best chance. A quarter finalist here last year, falling very easily to eventual champion Roger Federer, he has proven to be a very capable grass court player, by also reaching the 4th round a further 6 times. He also has serious grand slam pedigree aswell. Twice a finalist at the US Open and a quater finalist at the Australian Open have shown the he is technically as well as mentally capable to handle the stresses of the rigorous 2 week schedule. Also, after reaching the final of Halle, taking a set of eventual champion Roger Federer, this year may well by Youzhnys best opportunity at making it deep into the 2nd week. With the draw potentially setting up a quarter final encounter with Britains Andy Murray, he will be hoping to cause a major upset.
