It is Earl Boen's voice that may best be remembered by Trekkies, appearing first in The Next Generation episode Where Silence Has Lease, and then returning to provide vocals in the games Elite Force and Bridge Commander.

To many, his most popular role would be as Dr. Peter Silberman in the first three Terminator films. He narrowly avoids contact with the murderous machine in the first film but comes face to face with Arnie in both sequels. Though he retired from acting 2003, he had a varied career in front of both the camera and the microphone, as it was voice acting that saw most of his credits.

He appeared in such children's cartoons as Kim Possible and Clifford The Big Red Dog, as well as providing the voice for the Undead Pirate LeChuck in the Monkey Island series of games.

He retired to Honolulu, Hawaii, though continued to make frequent appearances in Los Angeles. He died in January 2023 at 81 years of age.
