10 Actors Who Became Cult Heroes From 1 TV Role

10. Larry David - Curb Your Enthusiasm

LDThe Role That Made Him A Cult Hero: Playing a slightly angrier fictional version of himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm Fan-Favourite Quote: 'Pretty good. Pretttttttty, pretttttttttty, pretttttty good.' Prior to Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David was known as the co-creator of Seinfeld. The show was a huge hit, with the critics and the fans. And for that, he made a name for himself as a writer. But it was only when, in 2000 when he decided to create, write and star in a show about a fictionalized version of himself that he really gained popularity as an actor. Curb Your Enthusiasm really gave David a terrific degree of creative control and allowed him to be himself. Literally. Being able to act out his own material meant that David could really have fun with the character, and the show being on HBO meant that he could be as crude, offensive and politically incorrect as he wishes. And he certainly exercised those allowances. Larry's character became and continues to be one of televisions most celebrated and quoted protagonists (or antagonist, depending how you look at it). Larry has established himself as a cult hero and has since gone on to do a number of film and television roles since the birth of Curb. Much to the delight of many.
