10 Actors Who HATED Making TV Shows

1. Zach Galifianakis - Tru Calling

And finally, we'll wrap this list up with a seriously deep cut now - remember the Eliza Dushku-starring early 2000s supernatural drama series Tru Calling?

Well, you might not recall that one of the primary supporting characters, pathologist Davis, was played by a pre-Hangover Zack Galifianakis.

And though Galifianakis was one of the show's sure highlights, he minced no words whatsoever when discussing the series in a 2011 Rolling Stone interview, years after he'd made the leap to big-screen stardom.

The actor revealed that he hated the show and attempted to get himself fired by insulting star Dushku, even telling her she was "eating her way to cancellation." Yikes.

And if that wasn't enough, Galifianakis claimed he'd also throw scripts in the trash after table reads, in front of the writers themselves no less. Ultimately Tru Calling only lasted two seasons, so Galifianakis didn't have to wait too long to be set free from it.
