8. Shireen Baratheon

It's amazing anyone could forget about a little girl with what amounts to leprosy, but here we are. After the death of his stillborn sons, Shireen is the only child of Stannis Baratheon. For much of the previous seasons, the impression was her deformity, and position as Stannis' only child, was a constant source of shame to him in his quest for The Iron Throne. This was certainly the case with her mother, who makes every effort to make her life as unpleasant as possible. Recently however, she has started to come into her own. On the wall, she has bonded with Sam and Gilly, as well as 'The Onion Knight' and things are looking up for her, including having her father starting to acknowledge her. As the Stone Men have had a more prominent role so far this season, her condition has also offered some useful exposition. And Stannis' march on Winterfell with his daughter in tow can surely only mean something big is going to happen for their family. All that said though, you were probably still scratching your head waiting for a name.
