10 Most Badass Characters In TV History

2. Walter White - Breaking Bad

How many of your old high school teachers would you consider badass? Probably none, right? Then again, your old high school teacher was, most likely, not an aspiring drug kingpin with nothing to lose. Walter White's journey from a mild mannered chemistry teacher to a violent, uncompromising, ruthless drug baron was a fascinating one, filled with badass moments but not for the faint of heart. The best thing about Breaking Bad was the fact that we were given the chance to see how a man can transform from a normal average joe into a ruthless psychopath. Bryan Cranston's performance as Walt was so exceptional, you could really see how, with each passing episode, Walt was growing in confidence as he gradually gets sucked into a world he doesn't fully understand. The most badass aspect of Walt's character was his ability to apply his vast scientific knowledge to any given situation and turn it to his advantage. Take the episode where he and Jesse are stranded in the desert and he makes a battery for the RV. Or how about the time in the finale when he builds a remote controlled machine gun? Or the makeshift bomb he uses to get rid of Gus? Walt demonstrated on more than one occasion that brains most definately wins over brawn. But if you combine the two, you get a very dangerous reaction indeed. Most Badass Moment Walt demonstrates his ability to think outside the box for the first time, as he confronts Tuco over a drug deal gone bad. We fear for Walt, having never seen him in this kind of situation yet and he doesn't yet have that aura of invincibility. Tuco and his cronies can sense this also and refuse to back down in their demands. It seems like all is lost - until Walt calmly informs the crew that what he is holding is not meth. He throws the small piece of rock at the floor and BOOM! Cut to a bald and bloodied Walt striding away from the explosion with the money in his hands. The beginning of a slippery slope and incredibly badass.
