10 Best Characters From Michael Schur TV Shows

2. Janet (The Good Place)

Ron Swanson Leslie Knope
NBC

Janet is the physical manifestation of all knowledge in The Good Place. She knows everything and can create anything. For all intents and purposes, she's the avatar for the what can best be described as the artificial intelligence that runs the neighborhood.

She's also one of the most amazing characters on the series, evolving each time she gets reset. Her well meaning, congenial omnipotence combined with childlike wonder about all thing human makes her one of the most engaging characters on TV. Her robotic personality is tempered by surprising warmth, allowing Janet to consistently deliver some of the best low key funny lines in the series.

On a show that examines the human condition from some high concept angles, she's a unique and key perspective on that condition, one that viewers are drawn to.
