6. Path Of The Jedi

Star Wars Rebels Ahsoka Darth Vader
Lucasfilm

Path of the Jedi follows Ezra into Lothal's Jedi Temple. Kanan tells him he must go alone, so every challenge he faces comes from his own mind. Ezra then literally fights his fears, as he confronts the Grand Inquisitor, watches Kanan die, and hears the rest of his team saying awful things about him.

When he realizes that these are nothing more than visions, the voice of Master Yoda, played by Frank Oz for the first time since Revenge of the Sith, guides him to a kyber crystal, and he turns an old blaster into his first lightsaber.

Before this episode, it was hard to imagine Ezra ever becoming a hero. He was childish, never took anything seriously, and had no discipline. However, when he sets foot into the Jedi Temple, a more mature side of him emerges.

This Ezra is brave enough to confront his own mind, and is rewarded with a lightsaber. Without the development he goes through in this episode, Ezra never would have been able to save Lothal in the series finale.
