10 Best X-Men: The Animated Series Episodes

2. Weapon X, Lies, And Video Tape

After three seasons, we finally get a look into Wolverine’s past. While other episodes in the season like Nightcrawler, Cold Comfort, and Orphan’s End give us a look into the back stories of other X-Men, neither were as intriguing or satisfying as Wolverine’s.

The ever-popular X-Men was naturally a fan favorite during the series. What better way to end a largely Phoenix-focused Season Three than taking Logan on a trip down memory lane? Weapon X, Lies & Video Tape took Wolverine back to the Weapon X facility, but little did he know it was a trap.

Although a handful of other episodes include lesser known mutants in background appearances, it was great to see characters like Silver Fox and Maverick have a role in the story. This episode, when watched in-between Bloodlines and Lotus & the Steel, makes for a vary good Wolverine trilogy.
