10 Community Cameos You Probably Missed

5. Lisa Loeb

Sony Pictures Television

Any Community fan who made it to Season 6 still to this day has "Pillar of Garbage" by Natalie is Freezing stuck in their head. However, most fans don't realize that the song is sung by none other than Lisa Loeb.

Loeb is a beloved singer-songwriter who wrote and performed the hit song "Stay (I Missed You)" from the film Reality Bites, among many others. Loeb also appears in many films and television series, often portraying herself, including both Hot Tub Time Machine movies, A.P. Bio, Fuller House, and, of course, Community.

Loeb appears in Season 6's Advanced Safety Features, portraying Julie, the lead singer of Natalie is Freezing, which Elroy says is his favourite band. In an attempt to impress Elroy, Jeff invites Natalie is Freezing to perform at the Greendale Alumni Dance. However, it turns out that Elroy and Julie used to date, so Jeff has only dug himself a deeper hole with Elroy. Elroy and Julie have a confrontation, but ultimately it doesn't interfere with her performance of "Pillar of Garbage" (featuring Frankie Dart on the Steel Drums).

Despite portraying an alternative musician, Lisa Loeb was still hard to notice in Community.
