10 Crazy Ideas For Seasons 4 & 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

1. Everybody Dies!

Star Trek Strange New Worlds Charades Una Uhura Laan Ortegas

This is one of the great fears with Strange New Worlds coming to a close, and it would certainly end the show on a downer. In the previous entry, we mentioned the fact that Ortegas was still a lieutenant on that Wall of Heroes in the future. That same wall may spell doom for two other characters as well.

La'an Noonian-Singh is also a lieutenant on the wall, which is, of course, the rank she holds as of the end of the third season of the show. Does this mean that she, like Ortegas, will be denied the opportunity to advance in the ranks? Will fate step in and shuffle her off the mortal coil? She presents a big issue for continuity in Star Trek. She is well established as the descendant of Khan Noonian-Singh, that same man that Kirk and, most fatefully, Spock are destined to meet. Why did they never mention her?

Were they, perhaps, unable to? Will her death be more akin to an erasure from history? Surely another 'we just don't mention them' situation ala the USS Discovery, might be a step too far.

This leaves Una. Her fate is a complete mystery. By the 2380s, she is the literal poster woman for Starfleet Academy, yet by the 3190s, her name is absent from that same wall. There is total freedom to go any which way with her. Honestly, we would love to see her command a ship, with La'An as first officer and Erika as the pilot.

It would be a far more appealing ending for these characters that we have come to know and love over the seasons we've already seen. With sixteen episodes to go, it's all up in the air for now.
