10 Doctor Who Comics Fans Must Read
1. The Weeping Angels Of Mons
Stephen Moffat has created some of the best, most terrifying monsters in Doctor Who history, as well as many well deserved classic episodes. But nothing will ever truly come close to the sheer horror in an episode known as Blink, which introduced the world to the Weeping Angels, and changed the way we looked at statues forever.
The Weeping Angels of Mons brings Moffat's greatest creations into a World War I battle between the Germans and British over the quaint french town where they take a British scout for food.
Around the same time, the tenth Doctor and his companion Gabby Gonzales appear in the middle of a World War I battlefield and are quickly shelled losing the Tardis and stranded in World War I. Months pass and it becomes apparent that the Weeping Angels are taking more and more troops from both sides of the battlefield.
This discovery leads the doctor and his companion as well as a random British officer on an adventure to try and trap the Weeping Angels while avoiding the usual horrors of the war to end all wars. This story really feels like it would be amazing if adapted to television but in comic form, it still does its job terrifying readers and characters alike.
