9. Chipo Chung
Chan - reusable guest stars - tho. God love her! You couldn't help but fall in love with Chantho as she added a much needed light heated relief to the proceedings during the overbearing drama of Series 3's Utopia. She even caught the wandering eye of a certain Captain Jack Harkness but Chan - don't feel flattered - tho, because he pretty much tries it on with anyone with a postcode. This ever polite Malmooth also happened to be the last of her kind as she assisted Professor Yana in his ongoing quest to reach "Utopia". She also felt the need to say the start of her name at the beginning of every sentence and then finish with its end, which didn't get annoying at all. Martha Jones took a particular liking to her as she related to her situation of unrequited love (as it turns out, they weren't so different after all) but Chantho was an unfortunate victim of the episode's climactic cliffhanger when the Master fatally wounded using a live electric cable. Ouch. She did manage to shoot him before she popped her clogs for her good, though, which subsequently resulted in his regeneration into John Simm, so fans have Chantho to thank for that... probably. Fans of Chantho rejoiced exactly a year later when her life alter ago, Chipo Chung, returned to the Whoniverse in a more devilish role in Series 4's Turn Left. During a trip to the planet Shan Shen, Donna Noble was offered a free psychic reading by the elusive fortune teller who was actually in secret cahoots with the Trickster. She used a formidable Time Beetle to change Donna's past which subsequently resulted in the untimely death of the Doctor and everything pretty much escalated rather quickly after that. Chipo couldn't have had two roles that were further apart from each other but with a name like that, she's more than welcome back at any time. Chan - Chipo Chung - tho!
