10 Doctor Who Villains Who Should Return For Russell T Davies' New Series 14

If there's ONE villain that Doctor Who fans are clamouring for, it's The Rani. We thought it was Michelle Gomez and we were wrong. We thought it was Jo Martin and we were wrong. Seriously, how long until we get The Rani in New Who?

Featuring only in two stories during the classic series, The Rani is a renegade Time Lady, like The Master only she is less psychotic. While that may sound like a boring adversary for The Doctor to face... she is anything but basic!

The crux of The Rani is that she is driven by science. She will do anything for her experiments and is relentless in her quest for success. This would make for an interesting threat for The Doctor, especially after the manically over the top plots of The Master.

Essentially, where The Doctor versus The Master would be like Batman versus The Joker. This duel would be like Batman versus The Riddler. A intellectual battle of wits between two equals. It's something we've yet to see fully realised in New Who and Davies should absolutely capitalise on.
