3. Rick Takes Time To Separate The Recyclables - Pickle Rick
Once you get past the absurdity of the science, the episode premise is brilliant, and Rick's adventures as a pickle made for one of the best in the series' run.
As a pickle Rick finds himself emerging through the toilet of a foreign embassy, surrounded by heavily accented bad guys in suits, led by an arrogant Brit, in a wonderful parody of '80s action films.
Rick then proceeds to rampage through the facility, using weapons made from office supplies to cut down henchman after henchman. Before finally escaping, he also has a great one-on-one battle with Jaguar, played by Danny Trejo.
Perhaps the best laugh in the episode, though, comes before Rick even engages in any combat. The baddies are watching Rick make his way through the building on video. At one point, when asked what he's doing, the leader is told that Rick stopped at a recycling station, took a bottle from the garbage, and put it into the recycling bin. Rick, being Rick, also includes a cocky little dance as he does so.
Or, as the henchman puts it, 'it's shaming us.'
The thought that even while trapped in a completely alien environment while being hunted that Rick would stop to mock his captors is just so...Rick.
