4. The Buffybot (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)
The Buffybot first appears in the season five episode "Intervention", after Spike - who had developed an obsession with the real Buffy Summers - has Warren Mears build him a robotic replica for his own sexual pleasure. Though it displays a perfect physical likeness of Buffy and has complete knowledge of her life, friends and family, the Buffybot's mannerisms and speech patterns are stilted and flawed by human standards. It also lacks understanding of nuance and tact and can be disconcertingly blunt and unintentionally insulting in conversation. After discovering the Buffybot, Buffy and her friends are disgusted and take it from Spike and it becomes a useful tool for them. It is used as a decoy in the final battle with Glory - where it is beheaded - but is then fixed by Willow and used after Buffy's death to make the demons and vampires of Sunnydale think that she is still alive.
