9. Starburns on Community
Community fans were caught completely off guard when they heard the news of a beloved minor character's death when his makeshift mobile meth lab explodes... Okay, so we
do eventually see a clip of Starburns (Dino Stamatopoulus) that implies he faked his death, but still, everyone thinks he's dead! And the moment where his passing is revealed to Jeff and Annie is just the quickest, most off handed comment of the episode. Some people even missed it and were very confused when his death was alluded to in the following episode. Of course, that offhandedness is very much in the style of Community, but what a last scene (inspired by none other than the fantastic Breaking Bad, I'm sure) to only be touched on so briefly! Luckily, Abed puts together
a wonderful tribute video in memory of Starburns which is definitely a fantastic and appropriate goodbye that gives audiences some closure.
