10 Great TV Shows Made From STUPID Ideas

6. Tron Uprising

Why Hollywood keeps insisting that Tron is a "franchise" and treating it as such is beyond me. At least Mad Max had a few movies under its belt before it took a 30 year hiatus, and when it came back it was a way more memorable movie than Tron: Legacy.

But hey, if it hadn't been for that mindset, we may never have gotten Tron: Uprising at all, so I'm not complaining that much.

Tron: Uprising wasn't just good, it was set to be one of the greatest television shows, animated or otherwise, of all time. 13 episodes spent following the program Beck as he tried to fill the shoes of Tron as the data world came under new threats, and every one of them would be the best episodes of any other TV show. The characters were fantastic, the world building rich and detailed, the acting is some of the best in Disney history with Elijah Wood standing out in particular.

And then DIsney cancelled it after 13 episodes, and have shown no sign of bringing it back years later. Because we are not allowed nice things.
