10 Great TV Shows You Didn't Watch In 2019
1. See
AppleTV+ launched at the end of last year with a small crop of new shows, most talked about being The Morning Show, a popularity based solely on star power. And although See stars both Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Aquaman) and Alfre Woodard (Luke Cage, 12 Years a Slave), it is not carried by them, but rather lifted up, built on an already incredibly interesting premise.
Set many years after a great disaster forced all humans underground, having lost the ability to see upon reemergence. See follows the story of two twins, born miraculously with sight. The world has reverted back to a tribalistic way of living, reminiscent of viking culture, where the blade rules and witchfinders roam the lands, searching for those with the sight.
The fighting scenes alone make this a must see, heart pumping action scenes with a sense of grace as the characters listen and feel their surroundings. More martial arts than medieval swordplay.
As far as new streaming services go, Apple TV+’s See is the best there is to offer, ignore the anti-Apple naysayers, go watch See.
