10 Great TV Shows You Didn't Watch In 2019

9. Years And Years

Created by Russell T. Davies, the man behind Torchwood, Cucumber, and possibly (maybe controversially) the best episodes of Doctor Who, Years and Years follows the Lyons family from 2019 into the future, a future that seems all too possible at the current climate.

The show does an excellent job of creating a vision of what’s to come, tackling major issues such as the threat of nuclear war, the refugee crisis, and power hungry political party leaders (played excellently by Emma Thompson).

Part terror-inducing, part beacon of hope, Years and Years pulls on your heart strings and plays on your fears of a less than bright tomorrow.

Although it played on BBC one it was overshadowed by other great 2019 dramas such as His Dark Materials, A Christmas Carol, and Killing Eve.
