10 Horror TV Shows That Deserved Another Season
7. In The Flesh
It's pretty uncommon to stumble across horror on the BBC, as it's a channel that tends to look more towards drama than genre shows. Still, decent ones can be found, such as Inside No. 9, Being Human, 2020's Dracula, and - rather predictably - In The Flesh. Sadly, although this show was great, it didn't get the chance to reach season three.
In The Flesh followed a teenager called Kieran Walker as he attempted to return peacefully to his hometown. Why was that a struggle, you may ask? Well, because Kieran was a zombie taking part in a relocation scheme to re-enter the undead back into everyday life. Now that's a tough gig.
The series began with three hour-long episodes, then a traditional nine-episode second season. It was a compelling watch that explored zombies more intimately than the likes of The Walking Dead or World War Z. The story also really geared up the action, drama and intrigue, with season two leaving some big questions for the future.
Unfortunately, the series got caught up in the BBC budget cuts of 2015 and BBC Three's transition into an online-only service. This timing resulted in the show not being renewed for its (much deserved) third instalment.
