3. Mark's A Dad

Issue #1 of Invincible introduced us to a youthful, bright eyed and morally sound 17 year old whose exciting new powers provided a wonderful opportunity for yet another superhero to take up a space on the comic store shelves. After 113 issues of graduating high school, battling bad guys and butting heads with government officials, his toughest test was yet to come: being a dad.

In the latter stages of the series, Mark's responsibilities change greatly with the introduction of the newest member of the Grayson family. Terra, Mark and Eve's daughter, immediately becomes the pair's primary priority as the couple tackle the astronomically tough task of being parents.

No longer is Eve seen as the outcast daughter in her family, she's now the mother of a child, and takes to the role like a duck to water. Mark, too, handles the change well. The book has no problem shooting for the moon, and continues to impress, but the addition of a child to Mark and Eve's life makes each enemy encounter all the more tense.

There's a person relying on the pair to return, and the show shifting to a more family-oriented outlook will be a delight.
