3. Murdering King Jellybean
It might seem odd to have killing somebody this high on a list of nice things, but this is Rick we’re talking about. Besides, King Jellybean is not the type of person anyone would miss.
As previously mentioned, King Jellybean tries to molest Morty in the bathroom, leaving Rick’s grandson quite shaken. Rick notices this and decides to complete Morty’s adventure: something he’s already gotten credit for earlier down the list.
However, while it seems like he’s reacting merely to Morty’s new disposition, Rick clearly understood what happened and just decided not to bring it up, risking embarrassing or traumatising Morty further.
Once they go back to their own dimension, Rick opens up the portal one more time and aims through it, shooting and killing King Jellybean in an instant.
The paedophile king hadn’t harmed or wronged Rick in any way, so with an entirely self-centred view, Rick had nothing against him. By taking revenge though, Rick proved just how much he cares about his grandson, and how he’ll do anything for the good of his family.
It’s a shame King Jellybean’s legacy remains, but at least some of his closest aides find out the dark truth.
