When Marvel Studios first detailed their plans for Phase Four and the new Disney+ corner of the MCU, there were several big characters whose futures were left uncertain. Both Hulk and Rhodey were originally left without a confirmed future appearance, but now that is no longer the case.

While Bruce Banner will make his MCU return with She-Hulk, Don Cheadle will reprise his role as James Rhodes in Armor Wars. The series will focus around Stark tech falling into the wrong hands, and at the risk of this seeming even closer to the premise of Iron Man 2 than it already does, Marvel Studios need to bring back Justin Hammer.

Fans loved Sam Rockwell's villain back in 2010 as he was easily one of the best aspects of Iron Man 2, and a return to Disney+ in this scenario would make a lot of sense. Hammer played a big role in the Armor Wars arc in the comics, and he could be the one profiting from selling the Stark tech onto other villains in the MCU.

Hammer Industries profited from Tony Stark's kidnapping and subsequent decision to take Stark Industries out of weapons manufacture, and after seemingly losing everything thanks to his failed partnership with Ivan Vanko, Hammer would surely try anything to rise back to relevance after Tony's death.
