10 MORE Actors You Didn’t Know Were In Star Trek
9. Christopher Heyerdahl
If you're a Stargate fan, you'll already know Christopher Heyerdahl in voice, face, and name. First appearing as a human in Stargate: SG-1's Revisions, he went on to play Halling (an Athosian) in Stargate: Atlantis, as well as a thoroughly iconic — John Sheppard nicknamed — Wraith. Heyerdahl also starred alongside Stargate legend Amanda Tapping in Sanctuary. Since, he's been in everything from True Blood to Twilight, 12 Monkeys (the series) to The Last of Us.
You might have missed Heyerdahl's singular turn in Star Trek, however. Decidedly back in the Milky Way Galaxy for Star Trek: Discovery's People of Earth, Heyerdahl was hidden behind a rather elaborate and menacing mask for the best part of the episode. As such, his character 'Wen' was initially mistaken for an alien. Not the life-suckers from Pegasus, but 'oooh that voice sounds familiar'!
It took the ex-Emperor to kick a typically slow round of diplomacy up a gear (literally… in the back of the leg) for us to find out that Wen was, in fact, a human. In the same move, Georgiou ripped off the mask, and our suspicions were confirmed. That's Todd! I mean, that is Christopher Heyerdahl! There are no ZPMs in Star Trek but give the bloke some dilithium for Titan's sake!
