50th anniversary special The Day Of The Doctor was an easter egg hunter's paradise, and right from the word go, it was chock-full of deep-cut references to pretty much every single era of the show.

For that reason, you could argue that the entire episode qualifies as a "most paused moment" in its own right, but if we had to single out one specific thing, then it has to be the Black Archive, which pops up a few different times throughout the story.

The Black Archive is a vault that houses a wealth of dangerous alien tech, and it also contains lots of information on the Doctor, as well as the Doctor's companions.
