6. The Witcher Season 2
Based on the Polish novel and game series of the same name, Netflix's The Witcher, starring Superman actor Henry Cavill, arrived onto the streaming platform last year and quickly became a success.
The narrative followed Garalt of Rivia, a solo monster hunter who finds his destiny between a sorcerer and a gifted princess. The three challenged themselves across continents, battling demons, elves and kings along the way.
The epic show spanned across Game of Thrones-style large landscapes for its eight one-hour episodes, and the series has since been renewed to return in 2021 as Garalt and a new set of characters begin their own adventures and tie up the loose ends of the last season.
Last month, it was announced that the first two episodes of Season Two have completed filming after delays halted production, and the crew were quick to reassure fans that the second season will still be ready as intended.
Netflix also released an encouraging selection of promo photos showing Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer all looking as epic as they did in the show's debut season.
