10 Netflix Original Shows Cancelled After One Season

Tuca & Bertie, with its anthropomorphic animals, adult humour and intelligent drama, was compared to fellow Netflix property BoJack Horseman right out the gate, but quickly proved to be a fun and refreshing show far removed from other shows in its vicinity.

Starring Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong as two bird-women tackling the difficulties of their lives, the show received very positive reviews for its inventive and surreal animation style, and its ability to explore issues such as trauma and identity.

True to form, Netflix didn't announce why the show was being cancelled after just one season, but unlike others on this list Tuca & Bertie at least had a happy ending.

Nearly a year after its initial cancellation, the series was picked up by Adult Swim and renewed for a second, equally well-received instalment, and as of this writing a third season is currently in development. You love to see it.
