From the team behind the critically-acclaimed Money Heist, Sky Rojo will premier on March 19. The series is set to comprise two, eight-episode seasons, and will focus on three sex workers who try to escape their abusive and violent pimp.
Starring Verónica Sánchez, Yany Prado, and Lali Espósito as Coral, Gina, and Wendy respectively, Sky Rojo will chart the women's desperate attempts to flee the violence of their day-to-day lives. Unfortunately, their road to freedom is far from straight forward, and the trio face chaos, danger, and brutality.
However, the group's growing friendship constitutes the heart of the series, and Sky Rojo will showcase the women's strength and resilience alongside high-octane thrills, bloody gun battles, and explosive car crashes.
With each episode lasting only 25-minutes, the series is set to be as fast-paced and frenetic as the wildly-successful Money Heist. In 2018, Money Heist was the streaming giant's most successful non-English language show - we predict that Sky Rojo will have a similarly outstanding impact upon release.
