5. A Personal Touch

From an ex-jock being strapped down to a scoreboard to a gambler getting dismembered around casino games, the show hasnt really tried to hide its subtlety. (And hey, the character with one of the biggest moral centers and gives advice to others is named Angel. Now that is some hard-core nine-iron to the face subtlety right there!) A big thing that sets Dexter apart from the rest is how he chooses his victims and what he puts them through once he has them. Instead of going for Blonde Hooker #7, he chooses people who have cheated justice and makes them pay for their crimes. Now anyone could off someone once they are strapped to a table, but Dexter twists the knife (see what I did there?) even more by showing the victim photos and mementos of the people they have harmed. Instead of feeling bad a human being has just died, we somehow feel vindicated.
