10 Reasons Disney Plus Will Dominate Netflix
6. Every Star Wars Movie
Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy confirmed that the full franchise would be available within a year of launch, mentioning the original, prequel and current trilogies, as well as the Rogue One spinoff. Han Solo's solo movie was conspicuous by its absence, so we’ll just have to wait and see with that one.
It would be great to have the whole gang together (perhaps more people would be willing to give Solo a shot), and even if the Alden Ehrenreich led movie misses the cut, that’s a heck of a roster to have. By bringing them all, you avoid the frequently toxic Star Wars debates and allow fans to pick and choose amongst themselves.
Having them all there opens up options for fans too. Obviously there’s the release order and chronological order to watch in, but fans have long been coming up with ways to justify out of order watching with individual head canons.
Star Wars is one of the few franchises which inspires this kind of manic following; having the movies likely be a permanent resident of the service will be enough to net them customers for life.
