10 Reasons You Should Give Agents Of SHIELD Another Chance

7. Those Early Plot Seeds Are About To Sprout

Remember all those irritating episodes from the start of the season that seemed to be setting up villains or plots for future episodes that never came through on the promise (Graviton, anyone)? Remember how Michael Peterson (J. August Richards) showed up with powers in the first episode, never to be seen again until he showed up half a season later and became one of the most interesting characters on the show? Well, if they can achieve that kind of success with a seemingly throwaway character, just imagine what they can do with everything else: Coulson's resurrection still has questions that need answering, especially in regard to the blue alien (that's probably a Kree if Phil and Sif's conversation in her episode is anything to go by) that's connected to both him and Skye, whose 0-8-4 status is still an unresolved mystery that looks like it's about to be blown wide open by the season's end. Granted, some of the seeds that were planted early on were more like damp squibs than explosive revelations but the show's current track record for coming through on promises has been pretty good so far, even if there have been a couple of missteps with the likes of The Rising Tide and Centipede along the way.
