Star Wars fans are generally less keen on the more colourful and child friendly aspects of Return Of The Jedi when compared to the darker tone of The Empire Strikes Back. However, the opening ROTJ sequences set in the palace of Jabba the Hutt, undoubtedly provided some of the most memorable scenes in the saga.

One element of Jedi's opening revolves around Luke Skywalker being captured and thrown into the dungeon of the giant Rancor monster, having to use his Force powers in order to defeat the beast as it emerged from its slumber to devour him.

The return of the Rancor provides an intriguing edge to The Book Of Boba Fett, showing the creature's tamer side as it imprints on our anti-hero, allowing him to ride him into battle in the final episode, before the Rancor goes rogue, climbing a tower in a scene reminiscent of King Kong. The beast causes utter havoc until Grogu is able to use his mind control powers in order to tame it once again.
