2. More Obscure Characters Get a Chance To Shine
For the record, Im not talking about super-obscure walking punch-lines like Orca. Im talking about the cool Batman villains who arent lucky enough to be household names, or the fan-favourite supporting cast members who will only ever get token cameo appearances in the summer blockbusters. Remember how every episode of the Adam West show had a villain of the week? Imagine an updated version where, instead of slapping around King Tuts goons or cringing in one of Eggheads death-traps, Batman spends an hour playing cat-and-mouse with Deadshot, or unravelling the twisted psyche of Hugo Strange in order to win a round of mind games. To avoid boring everyone to tears by endlessly rehashing Bruce Wayne's orphan-trauma, you could mix things up by lending out the limelight to characters like Renee Montoya, Barbara Gordon or Tim Drake. Maybe an episode or two depicting the busy life of Jim Gordon, so that he's NOT completely defined by his usual plot-dependent status as Batman's hapless exposition guy?
