A terrible storm strands a group of shipwreck survivors in a lighthouse along with its keepers, but as they wait for the weather to abate not only do the Doctor and Leela turn up seemingly out of nowhere - but a murder is committed. One of the group must be killer. Can the Doctor figure out who did it, before someone else gets done in? With a clever concept, this story allows the Doctor to play an intergalactic Poriot, in a classic 'the murderer is amongst us' scenario. The shot of the TARDIS on the rocky island with the lighthouse is fantastic, whilst the episode is also noteworthy for a piece of Whovian trivia - at the end of the episode the companion, Leela's, eyes have changed colour due to a sudden blast of light. The reason? The naturally blue-eyed actress had been wearing red eye contact lenses to tint her eyes brown for the part. These were a problem for her, so the change was written in allowing her to stop wearing the lenses.
