4. Section 31

Emperor Philippa Georgiou Star Trek Discovery
CBS Television Distribution

Section 31 is the long-gestating spin-off series of Star Trek: Discovery, with Michelle Yeoh starring as Philipa Georgiou. It is assumed that she will lead or work in combination with the organisation in the 23rd century, although at this point details are thin on the ground.

It was slated for production after the third season of Discovery wrapped, but was then replaced by Strange New Worlds. As of now, there is no premiere date confirmed and there is no news on casting, locations or the status of scripts for the show.

Michelle Yeoh is keeping the candle lit for the show. She says that although it is some time away for the moment, the writers are working hard to get the show underway. She spoke about the setting, deliberately leaving it vague.

As she stepped through the Guardian of Forever, there was no guarantee as to where she would end up, though Yeoh believes Georgiou is certainly in the past. However, she teased that Georgiou would definitely have committed some future technical specs to heart and is the kind of engineer who will find a way to work it to her advantage in the past.

There is nothing confirmed yet for Section 31. Check back here for updates as they come.
