7. Natasha Lyonne - Pee Wee's Playhouse
It’s always fun to see a famous actor on TV as a kid, and Natasha Lyonne (Nicky in Orange Is The New Black) got her start as an adorable little girl on Pee Wee’s Playhouse.
When she was just six years old, Natasha was cast in the role of Opal, one of the members of The Playhouse Gang in the show’s first season. They would mostly just hang around the set and play with Pee Wee, but it’s pretty hilarious now to go back and see Natasha goofing around as a kid. Apparently Paul Reubens still sends her Christmas cards, which is pretty adorable. You can see her on YouTube reacting to some old footage of herself on Pee Wee, which is well worth a watch
For an early role of Natasha’s where she has a bit more to do, check out the Dennis the Menace movie, where she plays the role of Polly the babysitter who is repeatedly terrorised by Dennis and his doorbell pranks. When she was 16, she was cast in the Woody Allen film Everyone Says I Love You as D.J., which helped transition her from child star to serious film actress.
