Marge and Homer's marriage has passed the test of time, but it's not like Homer hasn't been tempted to cheat on his wife. The series has presented many extracurricular romantic opportunities for Homer, and in fact they have been actually been separated many times most notably for most of the second half of The Simpsons Movie. But still, here's a collection of Homer's most infamous would-be infidelity partners. Mindy nuclear power inspector, in the episode "Last Temptation Of Homer". Voiced by Michelle Pfeiffer, Homer was tempted multiple times to make out with fellow donut enthusiast Mindy as they attended a conference in Capitol City. Ultimately, Homer is able to resist temptation, but the two of them do share a kiss before leaving. Lurleen Lumpkin aspiring country/western star, in the episode "Colonel Homer". Voiced by Beverly D' Angelo, Lurleen's star took off following Homer's interest in her career, and she tries to seduce him with a highly suggestive song called "Bunk With Me Tonight". Homer's able to fend her off long enough to drop her as a client and return to Marge. In the much later episode "Papa Don't Leech", she moves into the Simpson household in an attempt to pay off the $12 million tax bill she's racked up, but this time, Marge finds herself feeling some sympathy for Lurleen's pathetic plight, before threatening her during a hug. Vegas Wife along with Ned Flanders, in the episode "Viva Ned Flanders". In Homer's worst breach of marital etiquette to date, he and Ned find themselves both married after a drunken bender in Las Vegas. Marge and the kids actually move out of the house for a time in this one, and Homer's new wife Amber attempts to adjust to the unfamiliar surroundings of Springfield. Yet it doesn't take, and of course the status quo reverts to normal at the end of the episode. Julia a stalker attracted by Homer's operatic skills in the episode "The Homer of Seville", voiced by Julia Louis-Dreyfuss. She tells Homer that she is his to do with as he wishes, and appears nude and in suggestive situations throughout the episode. Homer manages to avoid her advances, and her later attempts to murder him, somehow. Princess Kashmir in the episode "Homer's Night Out". Homer finds himself in trouble after Bart photographs with his spy camera a wild party that Homer attends, and produces evidence of him cozying up to an exotic dancer. Bart compounds the problem by making photocopies of the picture and giving them out at his school, infuriating Marge and landing Homer in the figurative doghouse. And if you are feeling sorry for Marge after reading this list, don't be. She's had her share of temptations too, including bowling instructor Jacques in the first season. More recently, in the Season 24 finale "Dangers On A Train", the character Ben (voiced by Seth McFarlane) attempted to strike up a romance with Marge. In the end though, there seems to be little doubt than Homer and Marge will be together forever (for better or worse).
Hi there, What Culture-ers! I'm William Graff, a 40-year old freelance writer from the wilds of Capitol Hill in beautiful Denver, Colorado.
