8. The Return Of Davros
Come on... who doesn't want to see the Twelfth Doctor take on Davros!? To date he has only made one appearance in the revived series which is pretty shocking when you consider that other Classic Series foes have literally dominated the timey-wimey proceedings since 2005, most notably the Daleks who, by the way, Davros conveniently created. He would probably be pretty peeved off, then, if he found out that his metal minions had been hogging all the glory. It's shameful, really, but it's not too late to put it to mends. Despite the fact he's only appeared in one story in the last decade (he seemingly died at the end of it, too, but that's never stopped him before!), Davros has definitely left his mark on the NuWho mythology. During the climactic Series 4 finale, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End, he casually plucked whole planets out of the sky at his own leisure as part of his attempt to reduce all of reality to atoms... just 'cause! It's therefore difficult to see how his motives could become any more universally detrimental if he were to come back but something tells us the writers would be able to come up with something. They could use the Twelfth Doctor's recent Dalek encounter as inspiration. Our hero went where no Time Lord has gone before in Series 8 when he ventured Into the Dalek (the clue was in the title, see?) and this could easily serve as the set up story for the grand return of their almighty creator. With Peter Capaldi at the helm of the TARDIS it could be a much more intimate affair and after the Earth-shattering events of the Doctor's last showdown with Davros, he would probably appreciate it, too.
