10 Things That Every Doctor Who Fan Is Waiting For
6. The Return Of Jenny
Fans were introduced to Jenny, the Doctor's daughter (if someone who was artificially created in a progenation machine using a sample of his DNA even counts as his daughter), in Series 4 but her stint in the show was to be short but sweet as she ended up getting shot dead - to cut a long story short - at the end of the very same episode. Damn. As the Doctor's surprise (sort of) off spring, it's no wonder that she still managed to leave such a significant mark on the show's mythology and at one point it really looked like she was here to stay. After all, who wouldn't have enjoyed seeing those back flips on a regular basis? Unfortunately the writers had other ideas, though, and now she lives on as nothing more than a twinkle in the titular Time Lord's eye. Or does she? At the end of the episode, viewers were let in on a little secret when Jenny was seen springing back to life shortly after her untimely demise. She promptly stole a shuttlecraft to embark on adventures anew (she's definitely her father's daughter in that regard) and fans have been vying for her to cross paths with her Doctor ever since. Even more intrigue surrounded her shock resurrection when it transpired that Steven Moffat, who was at this point preparing to take over the show's reigns as its new head writer, had requested it. Nothing has ever come of it, though, unless her comeback is being planned to coincide with the 10th anniversary of NuWho later this year. As always, only time will tell. It's not like Jenny's real life alter ego, Georgia Moffett, hasn't been keeping herself busy in the meantime. In 2011 she married her on screen father, David Tennant, and she also just so happens to be the real life daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison which makes her both the on and off screen daughter of a Time Lord, and now also the wife of one. Talk about keeping it in the family!
