9. The Rogue Prince
The teaser trailer focused on Daemon Targaryen, played by actor Matt Smith, best known to sci-fi and fantasy fans as the Eleventh Doctor in the popular sci-series, Dr. Who. His voice narrates the teaser trailer as we see him walking into a dark cavern, standing with his niece Rhaenyra Targaryen, and fighting in a tournament. As one of the most enigmatic and charismatic characters in Fire and Blood, it is a clear choice why the teaser trailer chose to focus on this Targaryen.
Known as the Rogue Prince for his volatile personality and reputation for various misdeeds, his own brother King Viserys made the controversial decision to name a female heir (his daughter Rhaenyra) for fear of having Daemon Targaryen sit the Iron Throne. The warrior prince is one of the fiercest fighters in the Dance of Dragons, the wielder of the Valyrian steel sword Dark Sister, and dragonrider of Caraxes, a vicious red dragon nicknamed the Blood Wyrm.
Described in Fire and Blood as hot tempered and quarrelsome,
some of the show’s most intriguing storylines will be built around the man
