Blake Ellender Brown was born on August 25, 1987 in Los Angeles, and was immediately immersed in acting through her family. Her father, Ernie assumed his wife Elaine's surname, Lively, the name which Blake would later be known by. Ernie is an actor credited with over 100 TV and film productions to his name in a career that has spanned from 1975 to the present day, while Elaine is a talent scout. Blake was taken along to watch her parents' theatre classes where she got her first taste of acting. However, Lively wasn't instantly hooked on making a career from it, and was a very popular figure at her high school as a cheerleader, class president and national championship-competing choir member.
