Nope. In the IDW comic continuity of 2005, of his own free will, Megatron placed an Autobot insignia upon his chest and declared himself to no longer be a Decepticon. Yup, big bad Megatron renounced the army he himself had created.

Having been thrown together with Bumblebee, he came to realise how far he had fallen from the ideals that he started with. Additionally, seeing Shockwave's Dark Cybertron agenda unfolding before him, opened his eyes to the oppression he had once opposed.

The Autobots helped him rediscover his courage and conviction, setting him on the right path. He even traded in his fusion cannon for a medical kit. Medic Megatron has a nice ring to it.
