10 TV Comedies That Dared To Try An 11th Season
2. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia
Perhaps the most unlikely show to make this list, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia was made on a non-existent budget by creator Rob McElhenney, and since its debut has aired fourteen seasons of hilariously dark comedy. Recently, it was renewed for not one but four seasons, meaning it'll air to at least its eighteenth chapter.
The longest-running live-action TV series in American history, the series follows five narcissistic, sociopathic bar owners as they constantly get themselves into troubles but never face repercussions for their most disgusting actions.
Incredibly dark, twisted, and just plain odd, the show is made up of immeasurably unlikable characters you can't help but root for, and has brilliantly pushed the boundaries of taste and its simple structure countless times throughout its run.
Considering McElhenney himself has said he'll keep making the series until people give up on it, it could be that It's Always Sunny keeps going past even its eighteenth year, and there are plenty of people who would love to see it happen.
