10 TV Finales That Made You Embarrassed You Ever Cared

3. Prison Break - Killing Your Number/The Final Break

Lost Finale Jack Locke
Fox

Before we begin, let's caveat this entry by saying the revived fifth season of the show is not included.

With no more prisons to break in or out of, the fourth season saw The Brothers (Scofield and Burrows) taking their gang and the fight to the elusive organisation that wrongfully imprisoned Lincoln to begin with, The Company.

The fourth season follows the gang and their adversaries as they fight over a mysterious hard drive called Scylla. As the season expands, it ends when Michael goes toe-to-toe with his own psychotic mother.

With everything all wrapped up, the eerie nosebleeds Michael suffered throughout the season (the result of an aneurysm thought to have been removed) return and a flash-forward reveals that Michael passed away at some point after.

The show had to end with one of the brothers dying, and Michael's death would have tied up the series brilliantly had the show not glued 'The Final Break' onto the end to further illustrate just how crazy Michael's "death" was.

Revealing that he was "electrocuted to death" breaking Sara out of jail as opposed to passing away really proved the writers must have been on something wild when they conceived the finale.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
